COGNITIVE COMPLEXITY IN TRANSFORMATION OF THE ETHNIC WORLD IMAGE

Abstract: 

We discuss the results of the empirical research into the transformation of the ethnic image (stereotype) when its cognitive complexity increases, namely when its attributions (attributed features) change owing to the increase of the adaptive capacity of the resource, and the tolerance of the ethnic subjects.

FEATURES OF RUSSIAN AND TATAR EMOTIONAL EXPERIENCES EXAMPLIFIED BY THE MULTINATIONAL POPULATION OF TATARSTAN

Abstract: 

The paper deals with the ethno-psychological characteristics of spatial, time and energy components of an emotional experience. Basing on the previous studies, ethno-psychological aspects of the relationship between the emotional experience central components and the self-function are considered. The differences in the structure of the self-function of the representatives of the ethnic groups and in the level of spatial, time and energy characteristics of their emotional experiences are identified as well as the differences in the structure of the relationships constituting emotional experiences and central components of the selffunction.

EMOTIONAL PREFERENCES AND THE POLYMODAL SELF-CONCEPT OF A PERFORMING MUSICIAN

Abstract: 

The article examines emotional preferences (EP) of musical performers, short’ and ‘long’ ones, with relation to repertoire preferences and their self-concept. The data obtained explain the basis of EP as emotional imagery. Emotional meanings dominate when EP relates to repertoire preferences, while emotional images dominate when EP relates to a self-concept.

MULTILINGUALISM AS A FACTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND SELF-DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT'S PERSONALITY (EXEMPLIFIED BY THE STUDENTS OF KAZAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY)

Abstract: 

The authors study the development and self-development of students in multilingual training. This issue is especially timely in modern society with its interaction of cultures. The youth should be able to resist the ideas of intolerance. The study proves that multilingualism has a definite influence on the consumption of cultural and spiritual needs, and the formation of personality prone to empathy. The positive impact of multilingualism on the development of interethnic tolerance in students is noted.

Interethnic perception is seen as a process of forming a stable image of representatives of their own, and other ethnic groups, developed by an individual or a group of people of certain ethnic communities.

ON THE ISSUE OF SUBJECT OF CULTURE IN PSYCHOLOGY

In the article the categories “subject” and “culture” are analyzed to define the scientific status of the subject of culture in psychology. Different approaches to interpretation of culture as a system of normative situations, with which a subject interacts, are considered, and its psychological content is substantiated.
