ON RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INTELLECTUAL DEVELOPMENT AND BILINGUAL EDUCATION (BASED ON FOREIGN PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH)

Abstract: 

In the article we consider the relationship between intelligence and bilingualism and review the position of foreign authors concerning this issue. The main conclusion of the article: no detrimental or even neutral consequences of bilingual education have been found. Moreover, bilingualism improves human cognitive abilities.
