SYMBOLICS OF COLOR IN THE NOVEL "MOSCOW CRANK" BY ANDREW BELYI

Abstract: 

This article analyses the symbolics of colour in the novel "Moscow Crank" by Andrew Belyi. Special attention is devoted to the structural (repetition in the text, association) and semantic (everyday and ontological) role of the colour feature of the characters and objects. The meanings of yellow, grey and black are successively developed as the most important narrative elements in the conceptual plan.
