ENGLAND IN JOHN FOWLES'S DIARIES

Abstract: 

This article deals with the image of England in the diaries of English writer John Fowles novels 1949-1965 period. There is ambiguity about the author to his country, mainly due to personal circumstances. It is also alleged that submission Fowles novels about their nation is undergoing a certain evolution: from the negative in the early period to positive in later.
