ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF NATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING IN ENGLISH SECONDARY SCHOOL

Abstract: 

On the basis of English psychological, pedagogical and methodical literature the main directions of goals, contents, forms and methods of native language teaching in England are highlighted. The major provisions of National Curriculum are presented in connection with the principles of native language teaching. The correlation between the level of language skills and childrens’ progress are revealed.
