The article is devoted to the modern interpretation of the classical version of Hamlet. The problem of "treachery and love" is transformed into the problem of everyday and historical absurd and metaphysical deception in the new approach of L.Petrushevskaya. Comic devices and carnival scoffs are used to show the great variety of historical and social parallels, and do not supersede the character’s personal tragedy.
