Diagnosing artistic giftedness in students of pedagogical universities


By diagnosting artistic giftedness in young people we, to a great extent, determine the prospects of modern art university education. This paper identifies the main characteristics of artistic giftedness and provides a system of training tests, aiming to single out artistically gifted students. These recommendations, along with diagnostic tools, were elaborated on the basis of research and pedagogical experiences of the authors. The given diagnostic tools enabled us to identify basic components of students’ artistic giftedness.
