Mastering structural, grammatical and semantical features of phrasal verbs by students of non-linguistic specialities

Abstract: 

The article explores possible ways of learning structural, grammatical and semantic features of phrasal verbs by students of non-linguistic specialities. The relevance of this study is determined by the frequency of their use in the modern English language. The presented review of approaches to phrasal verbs learning focuses on the terminological inconsistencies in the description of this linguistic phenomenon and characteristics of the particle. This research suggests a multi-way classification of phrasal verbs. The attention is also paid to different means of translation of idiomatic constructions.
