Linguocultural comments in dictionaries of proverbs

Abstract: 

The article deals with linguocultural comments on Russian proverbs in academic and educational dictionaries. The author analyzes examples of comments of different types and discusses the objectives of linguocultural comments. The article also introduces the author’s conception of a linguocultural educational dictionary of proverbs for schoolchildren. Special attention is paid to the method of textual comments.
