The past and the present in the youth prose of the twenty first century: Literary and methodological aspects

Abstract: 

In the context of the current controversy over guidance in the area of children’s independent reading, this article discusses possible ways and forms of introducing children to reading based on studying contemporary youth literature. It emphasizes the leading role of language and literature teachers in shaping the reading culture of the young generation.
