Mutual contacts of languages of nations are a natural phenomenon in multiethnic space. Languages interact and mutually enrich each other by borrowings in the course of this interaction. Communication between the Russian and Bashkir nations has a long and rich history. It began in the middle of the 16th century after Bashkiria's voluntary entry into the Russian state. The Russian language has had an enormous influence on the development of the Bashkir language.
