Derivative nouns of action with unproductive suffixes in the texts of the chronicles

Abstract: 

The article explores derivative nouns of action with unproductive suffixes in the language of the chronicles and defines their place in the derivational and lexical system of the Old Russian language. It also analyzes the features of semantic processes within such nouns connected with nominative human activities in the Middle Ages and identifies specialization of the suffixes in expressing certain word formation values. Derivatives with unproductive suffixes serve to expand the field of the "thing", as a part of such affixes is preserved in the names of specific objects.
