The development of multicultural linguistic personality of foreign students in the course of learning Russian as a foreign language

Abstract: 

This article presents a new integrative methodology that contributes to the development of multicultural linguistic personality of foreign students in the course of learning Russian as a foreign language. The authors give the definitions of “multicultural personality”, “multicultural language personality” and “multicultural language personality of foreign students”. They describe complex processes of multilateral and multi-tiered interactions of the semantics of reflection and the semantics of language, and correlations between the intersubjective components and text devices. This paper also presents the ways of developing skills for solving professional and communicative problems by means of the target language, of elaborating methodological aspects of both linguistic and speech competence. Based on the education textbook, the authors demonstrate the possibilities of realization of a natural blend between language and culture.
