Discourse-stylistic aspects of media texts


The article examines the correlation of the concepts of "text" and "discourse" in the sphere of media communication and compares the approaches to text studies used in the theory of discourse analysis and functional stylistics. A conclusion is made about the appropriateness of combining these approaches in a common discourse and stylistic paradigms of media texts research. Theoretical theses are specified by analyzing the material of leading Russian online newspapers. The authors of the article focus on methods used to influence the reader and the linguistic means of expressing the author's position in media texts.
