Extrajection as the basis for interviewers’ communicative tactics


The uniqueness of communication during job interviews specifies a set of specialized communicative tactics. They are realized by a dominant communicator (recruiter) and are included in the list of the main verbal actions used for the diagnostics of a job applicant. The article describes the extrajection tactics based on a specific psychological mechanism and reveals its semantic foundations. There are two main types: extrajection to the past and extrajection to other people. The article lists the most frequent questions in verbalizing extrajection. The author describes the reasons which contribute to successful implementation of extrajection during a job interview.
