The article presents adult communication strategies implemented in a dialogue with the child and sug-gests their typology: metalinguistic, exploratory questions, and manipulation questions. Special attention is paid to the in-fluence of abstract names on the formation of discursive thought. Error correction in the child’s speech is considered to be a conscious communicative strategy.
