Total and partial phraseological equivalents with the component denoting colors in the English and Turkish languages

Abstract: 

The article analyzes theoretical studies in Russian linguistics and examines a number of samples of complete and partial phraseological equivalents in unrelated and structurally different languages with the component denoting colours. Semantic, structural-grammatical, and componential levels are under a comparative analysis. The article focuses on phraseological units with structurally and grammatically identical organization. The conclusion is made that the majority of the Turkish phraseological units under study have comparatively recently entered the phraseological stock of the Turkish language.
