ENGLISH PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS WITH THE COMPONENT «FIRE» AND THEIR COUNTERPARTS IN RUSSIAN, TATAR AND SPANISH

Abstract: 

This article focuses on English phraseological units with the component «fire» and their counterparts in Russian, Tatar and Spanish. The following types of counterparts are distinguished: phraseological equivalents (full and partial) and phraseological analogues (full and partial). When no equivalent or analogue is available, the meaning of the phraseological units is conveyed by means of calque, lexical, descriptive or combined translation.
