PECULIARITIES OF REGIONALISM IN THE USA LITERATURE: SOUTHERN REALITIES IN MARK TWAIN’S AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL TRILOGY

Abstract: 

The paper is based on three Twain’s books connected by the setting, the Mississippi river, and the reali-ties of the American South in the XIX century. The main idea is that by depicting the clash of opposing categories: freedom – no freedom, wildlife – civilization, morality – practicality, the author presents the facts of reality.
