FICTION AND NON-FICTION IN NABOKOV’S MEMOIR NOVELS «SPEAK, MEMORY» AND «THE OTHER SHORES»

Abstract: 

The article explores the correlation of fiction and non-fiction in Nabokov’s memoir novels, their scope and synthesis as well as various artistic devices (key-words, repeated themes, associative connections, unusual images, overlapping layers of time, etc.) that make the autobiography into a memoir novel.
